Ribeye Steak Recipe

Ingredients:
• Ribeye steak: 2 pieces, about 1 inch thick (around 300-350 grams each)
• Salt: 1 to 2 teaspoons
• Black pepper: 1 to 2 teaspoons, freshly ground
• Olive oil or vegetable oil: 2 tablespoons
• Butter: 2 tablespoons
• Garlic: 3-4 cloves, lightly crushed
• Fresh herbs (like rosemary or thyme): a few sprigs

Instructions:

1. Preparation: Take the steaks out of the refrigerator about 30-40 minutes before cooking to bring them to room temperature. Pat them dry with paper towels.

2. Seasoning: Generously season both sides of the steaks with salt and black pepper.

3. Cooking: Heat a cast-iron skillet or heavy pan over high heat until it’s very hot. Add the oil and let it heat until it’s shimmering.

4. Searing: Place the steaks in the pan and sear for about 4-5 minutes on the first side without moving them, until a nice crust forms.

5. Flipping: Flip the steaks and add butter, garlic, and herbs to the pan. Continue to cook for another 3-4 minutes for medium-rare, or adjust the time to your desired doneness.

6. Resting: Remove the steaks from the pan and let them rest for about 5 minutes before serving to lock in the juices.

7. Serving: Slice and serve with your favorite sides! And enjoy!
